Your privacy and the ownership of your 3D models are core priorities. This policy outlines how files and browsing data are handled across our tools.

1. 3D Model & File Data

MeshManiacs does not permanently store, retain, or harvest your 3D models (.STL) or proprietary design work:

• In-Browser Tools (Mesh Reducer): Models processed in WebGL tools operate entirely inside your local web browser. Files stay on your machine and are never uploaded to any server.
• Server Processing (STL Repair): Files uploaded for automated repair are held strictly in temporary server memory during processing. Generated output files are assigned randomized temporary filenames and automatically purged from temporary storage after download.

2. Analytics & Cookies

The site uses a privacy-first, self-hosted instance of Matomo to collect basic, anonymous usage statistics to help us improve site performance and usability. Tracking is kept as non-invasive as possible:

• IP Anonymisation: IP addresses are automatically masked (anonymised) before being saved, ensuring individual users cannot be identified.
• No Cross-Site Tracking: Analytics data is kept strictly internal. It is never sold, shared, or linked across third-party sites or advertising networks.
• Minimal Cookies: Matomo is configured for privacy-friendly measurement. MeshManiacs does not create persistent visitor profiles or run targeted ads.
• Do Not Track (DNT): Our analytics system honors your browser's "Do Not Track" preference. If enabled in your browser, your visits will not be measured.

3. Third-Party Integrations

MeshManiacs utilises an optional floating support widget (Ko-fi) to allow voluntary user support. Interacting with the Ko-fi widget may place functional third-party cookies governed independently by Ko-fi's privacy policy.
